“In times of ongoing disruptive change within the industry, it is even more essential to bring together producers from across the globe to facilitate their move into international co-production. Offering top trainers and experts from the industry who candidly share their knowledge and expertise has always been one of TAP’s key goals. Reviewing this year’s line-up, experts and TAP producers are in for a banner year of potential co-production”, says TAP Director, Jan Miller.

Nadja Radojevic, CEO and Director Training EPI comments: “We are very proud to welcome 25 producers to our 10-year-anniversary edition. We’re looking back at a whole decade of successful co-production training and networking with great outcome such as the US-German production, THE TALE, which premiered at Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. Both producers, Jennifer Fox and Sol Bondy, met at TAP 2013 where this co-production project originated. We’re positive that more great news is soon to follow.”

“With our amazing talent, infrastructure and incentives, there has never been a better time to partner with independent producers in Canada,” said the CMPA’s President and CEO Reynolds Mastin. “Canada’s recent induction in Eurimages helps to expand trans-Atlantic coproduction opportunities, and importantly, promotes international collaboration, which will help us all to succeed.”

Other recent TAP Alumni successes include BORG/ MCENROE (CZ, DK, FI, SE 2017 – NFF Public Price), Brigitte Skov, Denmark (TAP 2010), TOKYO TRIAL (CAN, JP, NL 2016 – Emmy Awards Nominee), David Cormican, Canada and Kestutis Drazdauskas, Lithuania (both TAP 2012), ANGRY INDIAN GODDESSES (GER, IN 2015 – Rome Film Fest Best Film), Sol Bondy, Germany and Gaurav Dhingra, India (both TAP 2013).

TAP is a one-of-a-kind combination of intensive training, effective networking among potential partners, and targeted project feedback from acclaimed industry experts and resource trainers. It provides extensive intelligence on international co-production and co-venturing from a European, Canadian and US perspective. TAP consists of two intensive training modules in Berlin (June 16 – 21) and Halifax, Canada (September 10– 16). TAP producers will also participate as full delegates at the FIN Film Festival's FIN Partners – one of the world's pre-eminent international co-production markets. Another integral part of TAP are industry events with 1-2-1 meetings among potential co-production partners from around the world. On June 19, TAP producers have the chance to meet the local industry in Berlin.
