The EPI sees itself as a think tank and focuses its work on current developments in the media industry as well as on challenges presented by an increasingly digital world. Expertise and competent consulting emerge from an industry-oriented approach, creating new momentum for policy and business.
Experienced and multifaceted
Each year, the EPI organises about 40 advanced training events with over 700 participants — in Germany, across Europe and in Canada. The EPI has also been offering flexible online advanced training courses since 2015. Symposia featuring leading experts examine current topics and provide a forum for open dialogue within the industry. In addition to preparing independent studies and reports, the EPI advises companies, associations and institutions.
An excellent network
The institute is well connected to a variety of renowned industry representatives, both in Germany and overseas. Sponsors and partners as well as the advisory board composed of high-ranking experts oversee and advise the EPI and its activities.
Independent and non-profit
The Erich Pommer Institute was founded in Potsdam-Babelsberg in 1998 as an independent non-profit limited company and is an institute affiliated with the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF and the University of Potsdam.
