Numerous
screenings of TAP 2016 producers’ and TAP alumni projects at the Toronto
International Film Festival reflect the high-level of TAP producer participants
and success of the unique co-production and networking training program. Alexander Weimer’s recent
Russian-French-German co-production ZOOLOGY, that just won the Special Jury
Prize at Karlovy Vary, will celebrate its North American premiere in the TIFF section
Contemporary World Cinema. Also TAP
project X QUINIENTOS from alumni Yanick Letourneau (Peripheria, Montreal), a Canadian-Colombian-Mexican
co-production, is celebrating its world premiere in the same section. TAP
alumni producers Mike MacMillan and Marc Almon will world premier their feature
WEIRDOS as one of the Canadian galas in the section Special Presentations. In the Discovery section TAP alumni Sol Bondy (One Two Films) is presenting this year’s “Prix Un Certain Regard”-winner (Cannes) THE HAPPIEST DAY IN THE LIFE OF OLLI MÄKI (Finland/Germany/Sweden).

Canada – September 12-18), the 25 TAP 2016 producers from Europe, Canada, the
USA as well as India and South Africa will work further on their film and TV
projects benefitting from the knowledge and expertise of acclaimed
