Press Release: EPI has selected 15 female producers from 12 countries for the upcoming fourth edition of the first European female leadership programme SERIES’ WOMEN. By supporting selected female producers directly and boosting individual careers, SERIES’ WOMEN sets off to increase the visibility and industry exposure of female producers and female-driven projects.
The programme will once again support the building of professional networks and combine abroad variety of elements: the producers will participate in state-of-the-art training opportunities addressing topics such as visibility, leadership and digital entrepreneurship. They also gain deeper knowledge about the European drama series industry. Networking opportunities at top European industry markets and direct access to decision makers and top industry players will complete the programme.
Major networking opportunities will be the participation at two of Europe's most important series markets, TV Drama Vision presented by Göteborg Film Festival, Sweden and Series Mania Forum in Lille, France.
Participants will directly be able to apply the gained knowledge to advance their series projects, which they are bringing to the programme. Additionally, they will receive 1:1 pitching coaching and curated mentoring from acclaimed international industry professionals to aid in their professional development.
Another unique part of the programme is an online diversity training exclusively directed at hiring managers or respective decision makers in the producers’ companies. Through this training, SERIES’ WOMEN addresses the topic of gender equality and diversity not only at an individual level, but sets out to enable change at the organizational level and make companies more competitive and sustainable in the process.
SERIES' WOMEN is funded by Creative Europe – MEDIA, with Series Mania Forum on board as an event partner and other pratners including FOCAL, Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds (VAF), Screen Ireland, European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs (EAVE), European Women’s Audiovisual Network (EWA), FOCAL, Göteborg Film Festival, Women In Film & Television International (WIFTI) and The European Producers Club (EPC).
