New edition of SERIES' WOMEN starting fall 2023

17. May 2023 –

Applications for the third edition are now open

The successful international female leadership program, SERIES' WOMEN, is moving into its next edition. The program, which takes place both online and in various cities across Europe, is aimed at female producers in the European drama series industry who want to advance their careers and projects. With SERIES' WOMEN, the Erich Pommer Institut advocates for more diversity as well as visibility of women* in the audiovisual industry, contributing to a change in existing structures.

With workshops focusing on topics such as leadership, entrepreneurship, change management, and communication, the producers will be prepared for their future challenges. In addition, they will receive an up-to-date overview of the European series industry from renowned experts, career mentoring through a senior industry professional and 1:1 pitching coaching by an experienced coach. Visits to two of the most important European series markets – TV Drama Vision by Göteborg Film Festival and Series Mania Forum – as well as numerous networking opportunities complete the program.

Another important part of the program is a workshop on equality and diversity management for the hiring managers in the companies of the participating producers. This way, SERIES' WOMEN promotes a cultural change directly within the organizations.

Interested women can apply now for the new edition of SERIES' WOMEN. The deadline for applications is September 18, 2023. At a free and non-binding online info session on June 20 at 18:00 (CEST), interested parties will learn everything about the program's process, receive tips for applying, and an overview of financing options. At the end of the event, there will be time for all open questions. Additional online sessions will take place throughout the summer. The program will start in November 2023 and end in March 2024. The EPI is looking forward to accompanying a new group of talented female producers on their career path.

We thank our funder, Creative Europe – MEDIA, our event partner Series Mania Forum, as well as our partners, the European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs (EAVE), European Women's Audiovisual Network (EWA), Göteborg Film Festival, Kulturakademin and Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds (VAF), for their support. Additional partners will be confirmed soon.
