EPI opens new application phase for AUDIOVISUAL WOMEN

04. May 2023 –

Female professionals from the audiovisual industry can apply until September 4

The Erich Pommer Institut announces a new application phase for its career enhancement program AUDIOVISUAL WOMEN. This initiative addresses gender disparities in the film and media sectors by empowering and supporting female managers in various roles across the audiovisual value chain.

AUDIOVISUAL WOMEN offers a unique opportunity for women working in the audiovisual industry, including film, television, and digital media, to enhance their skills, network with industry experts, and access coaching opportunities. The program includes online and on-site workshops led by seasoned experts who provide guidance and support to help participants advance in their careers. It also includes access to some of EPI’s exclusive eTrainings and individual business coaching sessions.

The program is designed to empower women at different stages of their careers. This transformative program is open for female professionals from mid- and senior-level management positions and aims to foster inclusivity, diversity, and gender equality in the media industry. What is unique is the program's last module, which is aimed at HR managers or decision-makers in their companies.

AUDIOVISUAL WOMEN will run in five modules from October 2023 until March 2024. Applications can be submitted through the program’s website until September 4. A free online info session will take place on June 6. During the session, alumna of the first edition, Katarina Prpić, will share her experience from participating in the program.

Looking back at the program, Katarina Prpić (Producer | Antitalent) says: “AUDIOVISUAL WOMEN has been a true game-changer for me, both on a personal and a business level. I got the knowledge and courage to know myself better, as a producer, colleague, and a leader and all that within the wonderful company of strong and interesting women who are now my wonderful friends.”

Sacha Gertsik (Producer | Grom Productions / De Ontmoeting), participant at last year’s first edition, reflects on the program: „AUDIOVISUAL WOMEN is an extraordinary program that not only provides you new insights and skills into the audiovisual industry, but also provides you with an extensive network of professionals from all over Europe. The group of women I met through this training (both the participants, trainers, and organizers from the Erich Pommer Institut) has become a close-knit group of reliable colleagues and, moreover, friends. AUDIOVISUAL WOMEN was an invaluable and special experience.“

The new application phase presents a valuable opportunity for women in the audiovisual industry to access the resources and support needed to excel in their careers. EPI looks forward to welcoming applications for this new edition of AUDIOVISUAL WOMEN.

Many thanks to our funder Creative Europe – MEDIA and our partners EAVE – European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs, Göteborg Film Festival and EWA - European Women’s Audiovisual Network. Further partners will be announced soon.
