Audiovisual Women: New Leadership Program for Female Managers

Audiovisual Women: New Leadership Program for Female Managers

05. May 2022 –

Press: The Erich Pommer Institut (EPI) is introducing Audiovisual Women, a new leadership program for female industry professionals that sets out to enable and empower its participants to master current industry challenges, develop innovative business models and take on the opportunities of digitization.

European audiovisual companies must embrace digital innovation as well as diversification to ensure their sustainable development and success. The complex process of transformation must be driven by empathic decision makers with excellent leadership skills. Audiovisual Women equips female professionals and hiring managers in audiovisual companies with the necessary skills and tools to drive change, build professional networks, and achieve a cultural shift within the companies, thus ensuring a sustainable and successful development of their businesses. The program aims to increase the visibility of women and female-driven projects, thus tackling underrepresentation and promoting diversification in our industry.

Audiovisual Woman is designed for female professionals in mid- to senior level management positions offering a highly interdisciplinary and unique approach to training and professional development. The program elements focus on topics such as (digital) leader- and entrepreneurship, innovation and change management in a modern world as well as communication, motivation and conflict management. Audiovisual Women is a combination of live on-site and online training, 1:1 business coaching, exclusive networking opportunities and a self-study phase with access to online courses. Next to the women participants, the program also addresses the hiring managers or respective decision makers in their companies, who will be taking part in a two-day training addressing gender equality and diversity management. The training provides them with tools to implement more diverse and gender equal hiring practices to create change in the respective companies and the entire audiovisual industry.

The program will run in five modules from October 2022 until March 2023. A free online info session will take place on June 7th, 2022, followed by the application deadline on September 5th, 2022.

Dina Rubanovitš, Head of International Training & Business Strategy, EPI:

“In the past 10 years, the Erich Pommer Institut has developed a variety of female leadership programs for the German as well as the European industries. We are excited to launch our newest initiative, Audiovisual Women, that will offer female managers working across the value chain a unique opportunity for professional development, business coaching and cross-sectoral knowledge exchange. It is widely known that diverse teams are more successful, so it was crucial to us to integrate a diversity management training for decision makers from the women’ companies in the program. We strongly believe that a cultural shift in the industry can only be achieved by supporting the women on both a professional as well as a structural level. We would like to thank Creative Europe-MEDIA and our many industry partners for recognizing this uniqueness of Audiovisual Women and supporting it in its initial edition."

Jenni Koski, Executive Director, European Women's Audiovisual Network:

„Since its inception European Women's Audiovisual Network has worked for the advancement of women's talent and professional careers in the audiovisual industry. We are pleased to partner up with Audiovisual Women and collaborate with Erich Pommer Institute to build the partnership between our organizations and boost our member communities even further.”
