SERIES' WOMEN

Selection process:

• Applications will be reviewed by a designated selection committee, which may include programme partners.
  
• All applicants will be informed of the status of their application in mid- to late- September 2026.
• If selected, information provided in the application may be used for promotional materials or press releases.

• Personal and contact information
  
• Professional information (incl. professional biography with max. 1200 characters ~200 words;1-3 recent or major credits as producers)
• Company Information (incl. company profile, max. 1200 characters ~200 words)
• The project in development (incl. project information, logline, synopsis with max. 1800 characters, ~270 words, total budget, budget per episode)
• If applicable, information about the nominated hiring manager in your company
• Motivation statement (describe why the programme is important for your career, what challenges or opportunities make it relevant, why you should be selected, what your professional goals are for the next five years and how do you expect this programme to help you achieve them, max. 1200 characters ~200 words)
• Scholarships and financing (if you would like to apply for a scholarship, please explain why you require it. If you are applying for an EPI scholarship, please indicate whether you have already explored other funding options through your local or national funding bodies,  max. 1200 characters ~200 words)

1. How much experience is necessary to apply for the programme?

We expect our participants to have at least one producing credit in either film, short film, documentary or series. This is necessary since the programme does not serve as an introduction into producing, so we expect our participants to have basic knowledge of the processes.

2. Do I need a concrete project in order to participate in SERIES' WOMEN?

Yes, you need to have an unfinished series project that you apply with to the programme. In your application, you need to provide some information about this project, so we can evaluate its quality during the selection process

3. Why is a project required? Is SERIES’ WOMEN a project development programme?
SERIES' WOMEN is not a project development programme, but a leadership programme. The focus is on how participants develop, position, and pitch their projects, which is why pitch training is a core component of the programme. The aim of SERIES' WOMEN is not to develop the project itself, but to help participants build the professional skills and strategic approaches needed to lead, communicate, and advance a project effectively. 

4. In what development stage does my unfinished series project need to be?

The project can be in an early development stage. It is beneficial if you can show your project reflects interest from the industry / financiers. If your project is already in production, please explain in your application why you are submitting this project.

5. I don't have a designated hiring manager in my company for module 4. What are my options?

Module 4 is created for HR Manager or the person overseeing the hiring process respectively. If you as a participant in the programme are also filling this position or responsibility in your company, then of course you are invited to participate in this module as well. If this is not the case, you can also nominate a person in this role who you know would benefit from it for their respective field or company, even though they are not working in your company.

6.  What is included in the participation fee?

The fee covers all workshops as well as pitch coaching and mentoring sessions, all materials needed during the course of the programme, access to selected EPI online courses, and accommodation and catering during the on-site workshop days. We also cover the accommodation during the market visits as well as the accreditations for the markets. 

The fee does not include travel costs and meals during the days of market visits. Additionally, if you would like a second person staying in your hotel room with you, you will have to cover the additional costs yourself.

7. Do the module dates of the on-site workshops include arrival and departure days?

No. The module dates shown on our website refer only to the workshop days. Participants are expected to arrive one day before the workshop begins and depart the day after it ends.

8. Should I apply directly to Creative Europe MEDIA, FOCAL, or Screen Ireland for scholarships?
No, scholarship applications to these organizations should be submitted through us. You can indicate your preferred scholarship option directly in the application form. If you have any questions regarding scholarships or require advice on financing options, please do not hesitate to contact us.

9.  Can I combine discounts and scholarships?
Discounts and scholarships are not combinable, but in specific cases applicants may be eligible for a separate travel grant.. Please contact us for further informatoin.

10. When will I find out if I have been selected for SERIES’ WOMEN?

We are aiming to let you know if you have been selected within 3-4 weeks after the application deadline. Please note that we are expecting a large number of applications, so it might take a while to properly assess them.

11. How many people will be selected for the programme?

We aim for a small group of 15 participants (not including the hiring managers) to create an intimate atmosphere with the possibility to interact as much as possible.
