Winterclass Serial Talks
A conversation with writer Michal Aviram (FAUDA, BEAUTY AND THE BAKER, METIM LEREGA)
FAUDA is an international superhit. Netflix has brought this Israeli action thriller into living rooms all over the world. Millions of viewers have followed stories of both sides of the Israel-Palestine conflict for two seasons now. The New York Times called FAUDA one of the best 10 international shows in 2017. FAUDA is one of the numerous examples of an Israeli series going global. From HATUFIM (HOMELAND) to FALSE FLAG, from BE TIPUL (IN TREATMENT) to MILK AND HONEY, Israel has become one of the most interesting and successful producers of series worldwide.
Michal has created a show that was broadcasted in Israel (40 episodes) and had a remake in The Netherlands. As a part of FAUDA's writers' room she wrote half of the episodes of the two seasons, and in the third one that is currently being shot. Michal will give an insight view in the development of the global phenomenon and discuss the new challenges and possibilities writers have to face in this new era of global high-end drama.
