TRANS ATLANTIC PARTNERS UNVEILS 2016 PRODUCERS

21. June 2016 –
Line-up of 25 selected film and TV producers from across Europe, Canada, and the USA as well as India and South Africa

The Erich Pommer Institut – EPI (Germany) proudly presents the producers selected for Trans Atlantic Partners 2016 (TAP) thanks to the support of its Industry Partners – Telefilm Canada, Canadian Media Producers Association – CMPA, and International Film Partners (Germany). The established 2-module co-production program once more offers a unique combination of intensive training with effective networking among potential partners and targeted project feedback from resource trainers. 25 experienced independent producers from Europe, Canada, and the USA will be joined by two colleagues from India and South Africa.

Given the success of last year’s introduction of TV drama projects, the 2016 edition continues to explore co-production opportunities and conditions for both formats – film and TV – featuring acclaimed international experts:

TAP provides extensive knowledge on international co-production and co-venturing from a European, Canadian and US perspective including in-depth and candid case studies of successful trans-Atlantic projects, market intelligence (figures, structure, players, operating conditions, the financial landscape, revenue sharing), legal framework as well as valuable information on sales and distribution. The program is directed at producers at career mid-level having produced at least one feature film or TV series.

TAP consists of two training modules: Munich (June 24 – 29) and Halifax, Canada (September 12– 18) where TAP producers will also participate as full delegates at the Atlantic Film Festival's Strategic Partners – one of the world's pre-eminent international co-production markets.

“It’s a banner year for the line-up of Producers and Experts,” says TAP Director, Jan Miller. “And we are really encouraged by the feedback from the growing list of TAP alumni. Reviews are that the jam-packed program of seminars, 1-2-1 mtgs, and project advice from peers and industry experts serves as an excellent accelerator both for projects and participants.”

Nadja Radojevic, EPI’s CEO and Director of Training  adds, “We are very proud to launch Trans Atlantic Partners’ 8th edition and welcome our TAP producers to another strong program of intensive co- production training and networking. I would like to thank all of our Industry Partners for their invaluable support.”
