Basics & Concept

This module provides a general overview of Virtual Production processes and creates the opportunity to become familiar with the relevant concepts, methods and tools.

Hands-On Pre-Production

In this module we will compose scenes with given assets in Unreal, learn how to work with virtual cameras, lighting & shading and implement the necessary preparation for an LED wall.

Hands-On Production

In this module, practical experience is gained with an LED wall on set and the various Processes and functionalities will be explored.

Professional Setups & Real-World Production Challenges

This module deals with the setup of a shoot that has just finished and uses the example to discuss possible challenges in virtual production.

Contexts & Outlook

The last module highlights advanced topics and contexts, such as volumetric video or real-time motion capture, and provides a glimpse into the future of film and television production.

HANDS-ON VIRTUAL PRODUCTION EXPERIENCE

LEDcave Berlin

LEDcave Berlin

LEDcave in Berlin is one of the world's most advanced virtual production studios, suitable for film, advertising, live events and more.

With additional studios in Mannheim and Cologne, the LEDcave framework expands the possibilities for creative work and lets teams leverage the power of virtual production intuitively. By producing in digital environments, uncertainty can be greatly reduced and cooperation between production team members is improved considerably. Through virtual production, more media is created in less time and post-production can be cut almost entirely.

Our this year's hands-on virtual production workshop will take place at LEDcave.
